Termites

Carpenter ants hide inside wood: Like all wood-eating pests, carpenter ants try to remain as hidden as possible in their tunnels and burrows. Carpenter ants are usually only visible when they are feeding or when the colony has outgrown its original habitat.
Carpenter ants come from huge colonies: Carpenter ant queens are like normal queen ants in that they both produce thousands of eggs during their lifetime. The queen is constantly guarded by a few workers and remains in the innermost part of the nest. As long as the queen and her successors are alive, the colony grows.

Bed Bugs

Bed bugs don’t need to eat every day: If they could, they would. Bed bugs don’t like to go more than a day without a blood meal, but they can technically survive without food for up to a year. Once they get the chance to feed on a mammal, they’ll take it to avoid going too long without eating.
Bed bugs are expert hiders: Like cockroaches, bed bugs can flatten their bodies to squeeze into the tightest of spaces when they don’t want to be discovered. Bed bugs prefer to hide in small, dark spaces, such as under the seams of mattresses and in suitcases.
Bed bugs reproduce with each meal: Female bed bugs can produce between 5 and 20 eggs with each blood meal. They often lay over 200 eggs in their lifetime! The longer a bed bug infestation is left alone, the larger their group will grow.
